Elders restructure leads to redundancies
Elders Insurance has announced a business restructure, with some functions being moved to parent QBE’s group shared services centre (GSSC) in the Philippines.
A QBE spokesman told insuranceNEWS.com.au the changes are designed to “create a sustainable and competitive business that operates efficiently and effectively”.
Some new positions will be created, but a “small number” of roles will be lost in March, with “some work transitioning to the GSSC”.
“We have already identified a number of redeployment opportunities and will find comparable or alternative roles for people wherever possible,” the spokesman said.
