Elders acquires WA brokerages from OAMPS
OAMPS and Elders Insurance have been engaging in a bit of strategic buying and selling, with OAMPS shedding its broking operations in Albany, WA.
Elders GM Tim Plant says the move fits well with the company’s existing business in Albany “and complements our existing presence in that region”.
OAMPS Insurance Brokers CEO Brian Austin says the Albany business didn’t fit the group’s usual model. He says OAMPS will “continue to have a substantial regional branch network” throughout Australia.
Elders clients will still be able to access some niche insurance products underwritten by OAMPS.
