Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter has appointed Canadian Jonathan Stephenson as its new Australian MD and CEO of the firm’s Pacific region.

He will be based in Sydney and report to Asia-Pacific CEO James Nash. He will also work on expanding the company’s product range in the region.

Mr Nash says the new appointment comes at a crucial time after Guy Carpenter’s clients were hit with a spate of natural catastrophes.
