Austbrokers to launch broking platform
Austbrokers is set to launch a new technology platform that allows its brokers to obtain multiple quotations from a single set of data.
The platform runs in partnership with Ebix Australia, claims consultant LMI and five major insurers. It will become operational next month.
Austbrokers GM Operations and Strategic Development Glenn Lambert says the new platform is fully integrated in the CBS broking package.
QBE, Allianz and CGU will go live on the platform next month, with Vero and Zurich to follow.
Mr Lambert told insuranceNEWS.com.au the platform supports both electronic data interchange and manual classes of business and is full cycle, delivering multiple quotations from a single set of data.
Business package products will be available from next month, closely followed by the manual classes of business.
“The Austbrokers solution differs from other solutions in that insurers are encouraged to differentiate their product and price accordingly, therefore allowing the brokers to deliver a true advice model,” he said.
