Zurich’s Barrowman moves to broking
Former Zurich Australia GM General Insurance Andrew Barrowman has resigned from the company to join JLT Australia.
The move from underwriting to broking comes several months after Mr Barrowman announced his decision to step down from his role at Zurich and return to a “a more market-facing role” within the company.
He will leave Zurich on June 30 and begin work at JLT on July 5 as MD of the Specialty division.
JLT CEO Leo Demer confirmed the appointment this morning. He told insuranceNEWS.com.au that Mr Barrowman will also join the company’s trading board as head of one of the company’s five divisions.
“Andrew has an enormous amount of energy and commitment, and he’ll bring a great deal of experience and new perspectives to his role here,” he said.
