Zurich has agreed a three-year sponsorship deal with AFL club Melbourne that will see the insurer’s logo feature on the front of player jumpers.

The co-principal sponsor agreement gives Zurich other branding rights including signage and game-day advertising.

Zurich is expanding its presence in Australia and will become the largest retail life insurer in the country following its acquisition of ANZ’s OnePath business.

It says the sponsorship follows its promotion of mental and physical wellness through an initiative called Program MindFIT.

The insurer also has a partnership with the AFL Coaches Association.
