Lloyd’s Australia General Representative Chris Mackinnon and Zurich CEO General Insurance for Australia Raj Nanra have joined the board of the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA).

Both men were elected on year-long terms at the annual general meeting last week, alongside nine re-elected directors.

Mr Mackinnon is also an associate director of the Underwriting Agencies Council.

“Chris and Raj bring extensive experience of insurance throughout the Asia-Pacific region, and I look forward to their contribution throughout the coming year,” ICA CEO Rob Whelan said.

“The industry has rarely faced greater scrutiny from governments and regulators.

“But under the continued leadership of ICA President Anthony Day, I am confident the board will guide the industry to ever greater levels of stability, growth and customer satisfaction.”
