Zurich has launched its NextGen Leadership Academy, which aims to nurture the next generation of leaders among the insurer’s key broker partners.

“As one of Australia’s largest commercial insurers, we have a responsibility to ensure the leaders of tomorrow represent not only the best of the insurance industry, but the best of Australia’s business community,” Zurich Australia and New Zealand Chief Distribution Officer Steve Ord said.

“We’re excited that our global reach allows us to offer a unique experience and give participants exposure to the world of international insurance.”

Academy inductees arrived in Zurich last week for presentations and workshops arranged by senior executives as part of the leadership program.

The inductees are from Edgewise Insurance Brokers, Guardian Insurance Brokers, Gow Gates, Marsh, Jardine Lloyd Thompson, Austcover, Lockton and Gallagher.

They will each be assigned a senior executive for mentoring and coaching purposes over the next 12 months upon returning here.
