Zurich Insurance Group has hired Iain Sharples as National Manager Marine and Transport Utility and Allwyn D’Sousa as Senior Marine Claims Adviser.

Mr Sharples, who starts next week, will lead the insurer’s marine liability and logistics proposition for Australia and New Zealand. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the marine liability and logistics market, including in claims and underwriting.

Mr D’Sousa began his tenure last month and will provide technical leadership for the marine claims proposition. His 20-year-plus industry experience includes 15 years at sea as a master mariner in the Merchant Navy.
