Youi has introduced “mental health first aid” training to staff at its Sunshine Coast headquarters.

The voluntary accredited training gives employees the skills to support co-workers with mental health concerns and better detect those requiring support so they can rapidly respond if a colleague needs help.

CEO Hugo Schreuder says the enthusiasm shown for the training has been “tremendous”.

“Mental health issues don’t discriminate, so we’ve introduced mental health first aid officers across every department to ensure all our people know that we’re here to support them if needed.”
