Willis Towers Watson has appointed Sampath Soysa as Claims Manager – Northern and Southern Region within its Corporate Risk and Broking team.

Melbourne-based Mr Soysa has more than 16 years experience with local and international insurers across Australia and New Zealand. Most recently he was COO and head of Claims for major Lloyd’s coverholder ATC Insurance Solutions,.

“His significant industry experience means he will also be our resident expert on highly technical, large loss, business critical or complex claims as well as coverage disputes and declinatures,” Willis Towers Watson Head of Australasia Andrew Boal said.

Mr Soysa is a lawyer and was a founder and the inaugural Australasian president of Young Insurance Professionals (YIPs) Australia and New Zealand.
