WTW names trade credit head for Australia

Willis Towers Watson (WTW) has announced Alistair Hewson as its new Head of Trade Credit in Australia.

The global insurance broker says Mr Hewson will be based in Sydney, where he will "oversee the development and growth of WTW's Trade Credit team in Australia".

Mr Hewson has more than 15 years of industry experience, having worked at Allianz in several roles, including as an account manager for multinational companies in the Asia Pacific region. Mr Hewson has also served as a senior account manager at Atradius Australia.

His most recent role was senior manager for supplier payment strategies in the APAC region for American Express.

"We have ambitious plans for Australia and this appointment reflects our commitment to understanding each of our client’s businesses and helping them address the many trade and insolvency risks that may they face," WTW Head of Financial Solutions Asia Pacific Lee Garvey said.

WTW Head of Australasia Simon Weaver says Mr Hewson's appointment heralds an "excellent opportunity to deepen our relationships with existing clients."

Mr Hewson’s appointment is effective immediately.
