Women at JLT group holds first event

Prominent businesswomen spoke on breaking stereotypes and striving towards gender equality at an inaugural Women at JLT event.

Buildcorp Principal and Chairman Josephine Sukkar, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia Director Elizabeth Ann Macgregor and Australian Paralympic Committee CEO Lynne Anderson participated in a panel discussion at JLT’s new Sydney office in Grosvenor Place.

“Our first event was an opportunity for female colleagues to engage with clients, connect with peers and listen to the inspiring stories of some of Australia’s most successful women,” JLT Divisional Manager, Specialty Carlie Griggs said.

About 120 female insurers and brokers attended the May 31 meeting, marking the start of a wider program.

Women at JLT was formed this year to support and encourage female talent in building successful careers. It aims to hold similar events every 6-9 months in various locations.

“I look forward to helping expand the initiative across Australia with activities that drive the progression of women,” Ms Griggs said.
