Willis Towers Watson widens corporate risk and broking role

Willis Towers Watson has appointed Simon Weaver to the newly created position Head of Corporate Risk and Broking for Asia and Australasia.

His role has been expanded to include operations in Australia and New Zealand as part of a strategic drive to position corporate risk and broking as a global business.

Willis Towers Watson says Mr Weaver will lead teams from the lines of business, sales and client management functions to expand client relationships and enter new industry sectors.

The group has also appointed Jamie Jeffers as Divisional Director, Financial Solutions, as it looks to strengthen its financial services capabilities.

Before joining Willis Towers Watson in February, Mr Jeffers was sector head of insurance relationships for financial institutions at Westpac Institutional Bank.

MD Financial Solutions Asia-Pacific Stuart Ashworth says Mr Jeffers will help international and domestic clients in Australia understand and access insurance capital and capacity.
