Willis Towers Watson has appointed Darren Oliver as National Manager, Workplace Risk.

He replaces Gary McMullen, who left in July to become Head of People Risk Sales and Growth Strategies at Aon.

Mr Oliver was most recently at workplace insurance specialist Thomas James International, where he was founder and MD. Before that he was head of practice at Aon, providing workers’ compensation and work health and safety solutions.

Head of Client and Industry Australasia Chris Nelson says Mr Oliver has “an exceptional reputation” in the market.

“His knowledge and experience will bring considerable benefit to our clients and will allow us to maintain and grow the already strong market presence held by our workplace risk team,” he said.
