QBE executive Jill Stewart has been appointed Head of Finex Australasia for Willis Towers Watson, effective from September.

She has spent the past 17 years with QBE in a variety of senior roles, mostly based in London, including head of European financial and specialty markets.

She is currently QBE’s National Manager, Professional and Financial Lines, based in Sydney.

Ms Stewart has almost 30 years’ industry experience, having begun her career as an underwriter in 1988.

Willis Towers Watson Head of Australasia Andrew Boal says she has an exceptional reputation in the Australasian professional lines and financial lines arena.

“Her knowledge of local and international markets, together with her diverse experience, will help bring fresh perspectives to Willis Towers Watson,” he said.
