Williams wins Ron Shorter award
Insurance lawyer Patrick Williams has won this year’s Australian Insurance Law Association Ron Shorter Memorial Award for Professionalism in Public Speaking.
Mr Williams, from Moray & Agnew’s Newcastle office, was one of three contestants chosen from 20 speakers to compete in the final, which he won with a speech on the potential pitfalls of liability expert evidence.
The award aims to help young insurance law professionals improve their public speaking.
It honours former Colin Biggers & Paisley practice manager Ron Shorter, who died in February last year.
