Whitbread Insurance Brokers has appointed John MacGregor as GM NSW and Queensland.

He will lead the Melbourne-based group’s new expansion strategy, focusing on strata and commercial insurance markets in the two states.

Mr MacGregor has previously held senior roles at QBE, Ace and most recently strata specialist CHU Underwriting Agency.

MD Angela Whitbread says the company has not recruited senior managers externally for many years.

“We are looking forward to the fresh perspectives and new ideas John will bring to the role,” she said.
