What price fame? Ask AAMI
For people seeking their 10 seconds of fame, AAMI will allow 160 Facebook fans to appear in a special Safe Driver Rewards television commercial.
But fans expecting to be discovered by Hollywood as a result will be disappointed. AAMI will only be running a profile picture during the commercial.
Obviously worried about what photos will be submitted, an AAMI spokesman has pleaded with people to only send “pictures you wouldn’t mind the whole country seeing”.
The ads will run nationally on Channel 10 during NCIS LA on Wednesday night and Offspring on November 30.
The competition is being run to launch AAMI’s Facebook site. People who press the “like” button on the site will be entered.
The spokesman says AAMI believes its Facebook page is an important communications channel for providing customer service and gaining feedback from consumers.
