Former Vero senior liability specialist Rob Hunt has joined Perth-based Wellington Underwriting Agencies as Senior Underwriter, based in Brisbane.

Wellington, which specialises in insurance for recruitment, labour hire and training companies, has also appointed Hobart-domiciled Rebecca Scott to the role of underwriter for recruitment and labour Hire.

Mr Hunt has over 15 years’ experience in the insurance industry, with underwriting and broking roles in London, Sydney and Brisbane. He was most recently Senior Liability Specialist at Vero and has formerly held roles with QBE, Liberty, Allianz and Australis Underwriting.

He will work to grow Wellington’s national liability portfolio and identify and develop new strategic business opportunities while assisting Wellington’s broking and underwriting partners create solutions for their clients.

Wellington now has offices in Perth, Sydney, Hobart and Brisbane.
