Well-known broker dies after battle with cancer

A celebration of the life of popular broker Robert Cooper, Director of Brisbane-based CPR Insurance Services, will take place on Thursday.

Mr Cooper died two days ago after battling an aggressive blood cancer, while awaiting a bone marrow transplant, which was the only cure for his condition.

His wife Mandy Cooper, also a Director at CPR, told insuranceNEWS.com.au the celebration of Mr Cooper’s life will take place at 4pm on Thursday at the Prince Consort Hotel, 230 Wickham St, Fortitude Valley. Donations to the Leukaemia Foundation in his name would be welcome.

Those wishing to attend should RSVP to admin@cprinsurance.com.au for catering purposes.

Mrs Cooper says her husband, who leaves three children, was “an amazing man” who will be terribly missed by family, friends and colleagues in the insurance industry.

“His knowledge in PI and D&O insurance will be sadly missed,” she said. “But the business will keep going and all our clients will be looked after.”

insuranceNEWS.com.au will publish further tributes in The Broker on Thursday.
