Rebecca Wilson of Sydney firm Austbrokers ABS has been chosen as this year’s top young professional insurance broker in NSW/ACT.

And in Adelaide, Michelle Dreckow of Marsh has been named as the SA/NT entrant in the annual award.

The Vero-sponsored award recognises outstanding standards of professionalism and integrity among brokers aged under 35. It honours the late Warren Tickle, a former insurance commissioner and industry educator.

Vero Executive Manager Broker Distribution Northern Warren Joslin presented Ms Wilson with the state award at the National Insurance Brokers Association’s NSW Gala Dinner on Saturday night, while his southern counterpart Andrew Borden presented Ms Dreckow with her award at the SA July Luncheon on Friday.

The winners will join three other regional finalists at the NIBA Convention on the Gold Coast in October, where the Warren Tickle award winner will be named.

The Queensland winner will be named at a cocktail function on Friday, while the winner from Victoria/Tasmania is due to be named next month.
