WA broker wins Tickle award
Perth broker Luke Goss has won the Warren Tickle Memorial Award for the outstanding young professional broker of 2011.
Mr Goss, 29, is the State Manager for WA for Blue Broking. He won the award from four other semi-finalists selected in state and territory semi-finals around Australia. He started in insurance in 2001 with SGIO, then moved to Willis where he rose to become state manager.
In 2008 he set up a multi-disciplinary brokerage which merged with Brisbane-based Blue Broking In 2010 to form its WA branch.
Accepting a cheque for $5000 and return tickets for two to London, Mr Goss encouraged other young professional brokers to get involved in the award process.
“To all those who fit in the young professional bracket, embrace [the Warren Tickle Award] process and have a crack at it,” he said. “You’re always learning something.”
