WA adviser named AFA’s rising star

Mark Rattigan, the Principal of WA company Merideon Wealth Strategies, has been named this year’s Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) Rising Star.

Announcing the winner at the AFA annual conference on the Gold Coast yesterday, AFA CEO Richard Klipin said Mr Rattigan’s “passion for quality advice and his dedication to his business and clients” gave him the edge over the other finalists.

Mandurah-based Mr Rattigan was also a finalist for the Rising Star award last year, a finalist in the Axa WA Value of Advice Award for the past two years and was named the Telstra WA Young Business Achiever in 2002.

The AFA Rising Star of the Year Award is sponsored by OnePath and recognises up-and-coming advisers who provide quality holistic advice, demonstrate a commitment to education and make a valuable contribution to their industry and their community.

The other Rising Star finalists this year were Nicholas Brian of Complete Risk Analysis, Victoria; Marion Gaertner of Elders Financial Planning, SA; Matt Hale of Financial Design for Life, Victoria; Finn Kelly of Wealth Enhancers, Victoria; and Ali Mohammed of Planet Insurance and Financial Planning, Victoria.
