Vero tops NZ industry awards
Vero NZ has been voted by brokers as the country’s outstanding insurer for the sixth time in eight years.
The company won the accolade at the Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand (IBANZ) awards in Auckland last week.
CEO Roger Bell says without the Vero family’s passion and commitment “it wouldn’t be the great company it is today”.
“This has been evident in the way my colleagues have handled the Canterbury earthquake,” he said. “Their compassion for those affected and the concern and consideration for others is what defines every one of us at Vero.”
IBANZ CEO Gary Young told insuranceNEWS.com.au the response to the awards was again very strong this year, with a high quality of nominees and about 350 people attending the awards gala dinner.
Other winners were:
Insurer of the Year: Vero NZ; Broker of the Year: Nigel Grantham, Willis; Insurance Professional of the Year: Allan Beverwijk, QBE; Loss Adjustor of the Year: Dean Garrod, McLarens Young; Emerging Professional of the Year: Michael Carswell, NZI; Emerging Professional Broker of the Year: Conal Beban, FMR; Broking Office of the Year: Aon, Hamilton; Innovation of the Year: Lumley Torque Data; Insurance Investigator of the Year: Russell Joseph, Corporate Risks; Support Services to the Industry: iNavigator, QR Consulting.
