Vero New Zealand has appointed Jacob Hewitt as its new engineering and technical underwriter for its Business Property team.  

Mr Hewitt will hold a leadership position within Vero’s Construction and Engineering team as well as having responsibilities for portfolio management, proposition and market development.   

He has more than 17 years of specialised experience in construction, having most recently served as commerical director at infrastructure consulting firm AECOM.  He has also held underwriting leadership roles at AIG and Allied World.  

Vero NZ’s Executive Manager of Business Property Nick Meister says Mr Hewitt’s “world-class technical expertise” made him a sought-after applicant.
