Vero’s RMAdvancer risk management awards have added a prize category to recognise SMEs.

This year’s program includes an enterprise award for SMEs, along with property, motor and liability categories for larger organisations.

Vero Leader Risk Engineering Client Services Dale Garbett says smaller businesses are becoming more conscious of the need for proper risk management plans.

“Consequently, we felt it important to recognise SMEs that are serious about risk management in the same way larger businesses are,” he said.

The nomination process is simpler this year, with shorter initial expressions of interest.

Shortlisted finalists will be asked to complete full nominations.

Winners can choose either 200,000 Qantas Aquire points or a consultation program with Vero’s risk engineering team.

Expressions of interest are open until July 22.

Award presentations will be made in Melbourne on October 27.
