Vero has announced the winners of its RMAdvancer awards, designed to highlight excellence and innovation in risk management.

Buller Ski Lifts won the property category for mitigating fire risk at Victoria’s Mt Buller resort, where it plans to use snow-making machines as extinguishers.

Brisbane-based Maxam, which supplies explosives to the mining, quarrying and construction industries, topped the motor vehicle category for its heavy vehicle fleet safety management.

Property trust GPT Group, based in Sydney, won the liability award for health and safety improvements across its portfolio.

The awards were presented at a gala event at Melbourne’s Eureka Tower last week.

Next year’s awards will mark the scheme’s 10th anniversary, and the ceremony is set to overlook Sydney Harbour.
