Vero extends Lions deal

Vero has extended its sponsorship of AFL team Brisbane Lions for another two years.

The insurer sponsored the coaching group in 2012 before stepping up to be a co-major partner the following year.

Suncorp Insurance CEO Anthony Day says the sponsorship provides national exposure through “the most popular and fastest-growing sport in Australia”.

“From a broker perspective, the high brand awareness should ensure greater customer recognition when they are recommending Vero,” he said. “It is an important part of Suncorp’s strategy to focus on both brokers and customers.”

Vero will continue to feature on the front of the Lions’ home jumper and the back of the away version.

The deal also includes signage, branding and other opportunities across Lions assets until at least the end of 2018.
