Australia’s continuing barrage of natural catastrophes will be one of the key topics highlighted for WA brokers at an expo to he hosted by Vero in Perth on Thursday.

More than 200 brokers have signed on to attend the expo at the Burswood Entertainment Complex.

Suncorp EGM Intermediated Distribution Andrew Mair says the expo will also address such issues as the ageing workforce, team dynamics and the SME market.

He says the spate of catastrophes across Australian over the past three months has brought insurance into the public spotlight, and brokers want answers.

“We’re doing everything we can to speed up the claims process and provide timely, fair resolutions for our brokers and customers.”

Vero will also host another live national webcast for brokers on Tuesday February 22 to discuss the industry’s response to the natural disasters.

LMI Group MD Allan Manning will join Mr Mair to provide expert commentary on topics such as assessment and repair, proximate cause of losses and business interruption. The webcast will begin at 3.30pm and will be moderated by insuranceNEWS.com.au Publisher Terry McMullan.
