Nominees for Vero’s risk management awards have until the end of this month to submit their entries, and brokers and their clients have been urged to get involved.

The RMAdvancer awards recognise “the most innovative and effective risk management practices” among Vero’s largest clients. They cover property, liability, motor vehicle and enterprise-wide risk management.

A number of strong entries are expected this year, says Vero’s EGM Commercial Portfolio Darren O’Connell.

“Given the publicity around recent catastrophic events and the awareness they’ve generated of the need for risk management, it will be very interesting to see what’s being achieved by the 2012 RMAdvancer nominees,” he said.

Last year’s winners were awarded risk management consulting hours from Vero’s risk management team.

The awards ceremony will be held in Melbourne on October 24.
