The annual round of expos run by the Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC) and the National Insurance Brokers Association will kick off in Sydney on April 8.

The expos provide an opportunity for UAC members to discuss their specialised products with brokers and network.

UAC Chairman Damien Coates told insuranceNEWS.com.au the Sydney expo has become one of the best attended of the national round of agency/broker events.

“Brokers appreciate the range of niche products the underwriting agencies can provide,” he said. “Risks in the business world are getting more complex, and there’s a growing need for specialised knowledge and claims expertise.”

The Sydney event, at Acer Arena at Olympic Park, will finish up with a lunch. Further expos are scheduled for Melbourne on May 7, Brisbane on July 8 and Adelaide on August 12.
