The Underwriting Agencies Council has announced QBE as its new strategic partner.

It said in July it was seeking a new partner, following the decision by Vero to end a five-year partnership.

GM William Legge says “a good volume of enquiries” was received, with QBE selected to join other partners Hollard and Lloyd’s.

QBE EGM Intermediary Distribution Jason Clarke says the company is delighted to support the council, which “provides a valuable platform for industry participants and representation for its members”.
