Transport specialist NTI’s EGM of commercial Michael Edmonds is the new Underwriting Agencies Council chair, replacing Austbrokers’ Heath Amber.

The council also added new directors Anita Lane (Solution Underwriting), Peter Klemt (PassportCard Australia) and Jason Clarke (360 Underwriting) at its annual general meeting in Sydney last week.

Colin Fagen from Blue Zebra is deputy chair, Troy Filipcevic from Emergence is treasurer and Anthony Porter from AFA Insurance is company secretary/public officer.

Mr Amber and Jeanene Hill from Market Lane Group continue as board members.

“The expertise, wealth of experience, dedication and commitment from the board will undoubtedly drive innovation and growth for our members and the wider industry in the year ahead,” UAC CEO Jenny Bax said.

Ms Bax says retiring directors Simon Lightbody from Rhodian Group and Emily Walker from Axis Underwriting leave a “lasting legacy that we will continue to build on”.
