UAC hails Market Exchange in Sydney a ‘resounding success’

The Underwriting Agencies Council began this year’s Market Exchange tour in Sydney on Friday at the International Convention Centre.

More than 500 brokers turned up to see 156 exhibitors, making it the biggest Market Exchange so far. Five Sigma, a provider of AI-driven claims management solutions, was the naming rights sponsor.

UAC CEO Jenny Bax told insuranceNEWS.com.au the event “was a resounding success from the minute the doors opened at 9am to closing at 2pm”.

She says 546 brokers attended. “The buzz around the room didn’t stop and the feedback from both members and exhibitors was extremely positive. Bring on the rest of the year.

“Each market exchange gets bigger and better, and we can’t wait for the year to unfold.”

Four attendees won the Sedgwick-sponsored broker prize draw: Dieter Glaser from Glaser Insurances won a $50 voucher; Aimee Cunningham from Brookvale Insurance Brokers won $300 of vouchers; Gulcin Aygun from Logan Insurance Brokers won a $100 gift card; and Troy Bates from Vision AdvisoRE won a Lego set.

UAC will hold its next Market Exchange on March 12 at the Gold Coast’s Star casino.
