UAC forges partnership with US MGAs
The Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC) and American Association of Managing General Agents (AAMGA) have announced a reciprocal agreement whereby each association becomes a member of the other.
UAC GM William Legge says it is a chance to forge a close relationship.
“UAC and AAMGA share common challenges and countless mutual opportunities as the insurance landscape continues to evolve rapidly,” he said. “AAMGA’s longevity and reputation in the industry makes the association an attractive professional partner as we navigate the increasingly global insurance market.”
AAMGA Executive Director Bernd Heinze has also welcomed the deal.
“UAC has been an invaluable resource for underwriters in the Australian and New Zealand insurance market, offering education programs, resources and networking opportunities that mirror AAMGA’s strategic goals and objectives in the wholesale and specialty insurance market,” Mr Heinze said.
“Australia is a vibrant and dynamic insurance market, and the insights and perspective of our UAC colleagues are welcome additions to our efforts to respond locally to our various markets, while acting globally for our entire industry.”
UAC representatives are expected to attend the AAMGA annual meeting in Arizona in May.
