UAC appoints first GM
The Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC) has appointed William Legge as its first GM.
UAC Chairman Damien Coates says Mr Legge will “spearhead the implementation of UAC’s three-year strategic plan”.
Mr Legge has resigned as CEO of Consolidated Underwriting and Aurora Underwriting Agency to take on the role. He will also resign as a director of UAC when he starts the new job on May 2.
His appointment is initially for three days a week.
Mr Coates says Mr Legge will direct UAC programs and ensure members’ interests are communicated to governments, regulators and other industry bodies.
“William’s appointment offers us a great opportunity to grow the agency concept and assist all UAC members to build their businesses.”
