Trowbridge sticks to exit plan

Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) Executive Member John Trowbridge has confirmed this will be his last year in the role.

He told last week’s Insurance Council of Australia Regulatory Update in Sydney that this year’s event will be the last he would attend in his APRA role.

In July last year insuranceNEWS.com.au reported that Mr Trowbridge, one of the regulator’s three-person executive group, had been reappointed for an additional year after his initial three-year term. An APRA spokesman confirmed last week he will leave APRA in July.

Mr Trowbridge founded actuarial and management consulting firm Trowbridge Consulting in 1981, and has extensive operational experience, including a period running Suncorp’s insurance operations.
