Tributes paid to industry veteran
Neil Tresidder, a former WFI Insurance state sales manager, died last week in Melbourne following a heart attack.
He worked in insurance for 50 years, retiring two years ago at the age of 73, and had recently presented an introduction to insurance workshop for the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
He started work with Switzerland Insurance, which later became Federal Insurance and Wesfarmers Insurance, from which he retired as sales manager for Victoria, SA and Tasmania.
Mr Tresidder encouraged son Brad to start Tresidder Insurance Brokers in Geelong.
Brad Tresidder recalls attending industry functions where people would tell him how much they had appreciated his father’s mentoring.
“He loved passing on his knowledge and experience to people starting off in the industry,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
Neil Tresidder is survived by his wife Wanda, three children, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
