IAG’s Intermediated Insurance Australia (IIA) division has appointed its first EGM Technology and Transformation. 

Andrea Walsh takes the newly formed role after a stint at QBE, where she was interim local CIO and global group head of technology transformation. 

She joins the senior leadership team and reports to CGU and WFI CEO Jarrod Hill. 

She will work closely with the Group Technology arm and external providers to transform capability in the division, IAG says. 

Mr Hill says Ms Walsh will be “fundamental in accelerating and entrenching IIA’s technology strategy to deliver better outcomes for our brokers, partners and customers”.    

Sydney-based Ms Walsh was formerly CIO at Isentia.
