Swiss Re Senior Underwriter FinPro Lucinda Conlon and Axa Senior Claims Specialist International Financial Lines Raymond Loh have won this year’s Australasian Professional Indemnity Group (APIG) awards.

Sydney-based Ms Conlon won the 2021 Gilchrist Connell Frank Earl Award, which recognises an experienced industry professional who demonstrates the values of honesty, integrity, and transparency.

APIG says the calibre of all candidates was very strong and Ms Conlon was selected due to her experience across the industry in a range of senior roles, collaborative approach, and reputation as a team player who “takes real pleasure in supporting her clients, brokers and colleagues to achieve success”.

She receives credit towards attending a domestic or international conference to the value of $6000.

Mr Loh, also Sydney-based, won the 2021 Wotton Kearney APIG Scholarship for under 35s for his video submission on insurers having different commercial interests in D&O and proposed resolutions such as super limit layers and standardised excess wordings.

“Lucinda and Ray are very worthy winners. Their contribution and dedication to their work is exactly what makes working in the financial lines industry so enjoyable,” APIG President Mitchell Spurr said.
