Swiss Re has appointed Sandeep Gopal as Chief Risk Officer of its Corporate Solutions Asia Pacific division.

Mr Gopal, who moves to the company from Allied World, will be based in the Singapore office and report to Swiss Re Corporate Solutions CRO Kera McDonald.

He will also be a member of the regional executive management team, Swiss Re told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

Corporate Solutions offers insurance capacity to mid-sized and large multinational corporations, offering products for complex property, casualty and financial service needs.

Ms McDonald says Mr Gopal “will contribute a great deal to the company’s further growth and development in the region”.

The new appointment takes effect on March 20.
