Swiss Re has recruited Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation (ARPA) COO Michaela Flanagan as Head of Branch Operations ANZ.

In her new role Ms Flanagan has responsibility for property and casualty as well as life and health reinsurance operations in Australia. Previously she has also worked at QBE and Zurich.

Ms Flanagan takes over from Chris Healey, who has taken up a position with Swiss Re overseas.

ARPC says it has appointed Janice Nand as Acting COO while it recruits for a Chief Strategy and Operating Officer.

Ms Nand joined ARPC in February after working with the Hayne royal commission. Previously she was a partner with HWL Ebsworth Lawyers in Canberra and with Sparke Helmore Lawyers in Sydney.
