Suncorp manager Ed Rawnsley is to join Melbourne-based Pacific Indemnity Underwriting Solutions.

It is understood he will become Business Development Director of the specialist underwriting agency in January.

The agency was formed in September last year by former CGU national underwriting manager Jun Acance, and works in partnership with IAG’s commercial division.

Brisbane-based Mr Rawnsley is Suncorp’s National Practice Leader Construction and Financial Lines, and is also EGM Commercial and Consumer, Queensland.

He joined Suncorp in 2005 as national manager of professional and financial risks. He previously worked in London and Sydney for QBE, across a variety of specialist roles.
