Suncorp hosted Queensland community members last week to help them improve their cyclone preparedness. The session involved practical advice on creating a safety plan, organising an emergency kit and how to best prepare their home.

The insurer organised the event with Multicultural Australia to educate refugees and migrants on what to expect. The initiative is part of Suncorp’s Storm Ready Streets program.

The event was held at Redbank Plains Community Centre. Redbank Plains is a suburb of Ipswich, which has experienced major flooding in recent years.
