Suncorp partners with Queensland SES

Suncorp has announced a partnership with the Queensland State Emergency Service (SES) to help protect residents from increasing natural disaster risks.

Suncorp Group CEO Steve Johnston says the insurer has become Principal Community Partner of the SES under the multi-year deal.

He says the company is “incredibly proud” of its Queensland heritage. “I can think of no better organisation to work with to prepare and protect our home state.

“We’re looking forward to working with the SES over the next few years to strengthen both of our abilities to help Queenslanders when they need us the most through education, engagement and financial support for much-needed equipment.”

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services Commissioner Greg Leach says Suncorp “understands the huge commitment of our SES volunteers who work on the frontline”.

Welcoming the partnership “ahead of what is expected to be a busy storm and cyclone season”, he said Suncorp “will help to better prepare our communities for whatever Mother Nature throws our way”.
