Suncorp NZ’s legal team is shortlisted for Financial Services Legal Team of the Year at the 2021 NZ Law Awards, recognising the quality, innovation and value of its work in financial service businesses in New Zealand.

Suncorp says the Law Awards recognised the breadth and depth of its legal team work, including leading negotiations on New Zealand’s Natural Disaster Response Agreement, facilitating COVID hardship support and supporting the insurer’s conduct uplift program.

“Insurance can be a complex industry and the legal function is critical to navigating our multiple entities through commercial decisions, major strategic projects and regulatory change,” Suncorp NZ Head of Legal Annette Quesado said.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony in Auckland on November 18.
