Suncorp loss adjuster wins AICLA scholarship

Suncorp’s Commercial Loss Adjuster Natasha Blanch has won this year’s Carey Bird Scholarship, awarded by the Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters (AICLA).

The scholarship recognises the report writing skill of an adjuster in a specific claim scenario. As the winner, Brisbane-based Ms Blanch receives a framed certificate and $3000 cash or expenses-paid attendance at CC21.

AICLA President Glyn Lloyd thanked Marsh FACS for co-sponsorship of the prize and AICLA Education Director Michael Davies for his assistance in judging the submissions.

The annual scholarship was established in 2013 in honour of Carey Bird, an AICLA member killed in the Christchurch earthquake in February 2011 while working on business interruption claims for Marsh FACS at the time of the accident.
