Suncorp EGM Statutory Portfolio Chris McHugh will set off in May to undertake an 82,000-step walk along the Great Wall of China to raise $50,000.

The money is being raised for Youngcare, a charity trying to raise awareness of the lack of appropriate facilities for young people with disabilities.

Some 6500 young Australians with high-care needs live in aged-care facilities.

Suncorp has supported Youngcare since 2007. Its GIO Insurance brand donated $360,000 last year to make the first At Home Care Grants NSW program possible, and to support the group’s first Sydney housing project.
