Suncorp EGM Digital Distribution Katherine Carmody has won the Salesforce Executive Leader of the Year award at the 2020 Women in Digital Awards, recognising her role in driving digital transformation.

Ms Carmody was acknowledged for her leadership skills in launching the AAMI App during the COVID pandemic, fast-tracking Webchat for claims customers in three days and leading the rollout of intelligent virtual assistants across major Suncorp brands.

“Over her 15 years with the group Katherine has proved to be a thought leader in the digital space, continuously looking for ways to improve our digital experiences,” CEO Insurance Product & Portfolio Lisa Harrison said.

“She is an authentic and inspiring leader who forges high-performance teams that keep the focus on evolving customer expectations and our business needs.”

Receiving the award at a virtual event, Ms Carmody told attendees that “inclusiveness and diversity of opinion is going to unlock our digital potential”.
